Let’s just
be honest! How many of you apply sunscreen in winters? I believe most of you
are still unaware of the fact that sunscreen is as important in winter as it is
in summer or even more. Have you ever realized that our exposure to the sun is
more in winters, the UV rays from the sun are stronger because of the thinness
of Ozone layer in cold weather, So that means we are more likely to have skin
diseases (like cancer, premature aging and many more) in winter. In order to be
safe wear your sunscreen every day and reapply it after every two hours if your
exposure to the sun is too much. Sunscreens can be in the form of spray,
lotions and powders. If you are wearing a makeup you can go for a face powder
with SPF but it has the minimal protection compared to the other two. Always go
for a sunscreen with at least SPF 30, generously apply it on your skin and make
sure to reapply it after every 2 to 3 hours. If you have a dry skin go for a moisturizing
sunscreen to avoid skin irritation, people with oily skin can prefer products
that are water or gel based. However, normal skin people can look for any type
of sunscreen that they find good it can be organic or inorganic and can apply
it on their skin before going out and getting exposed to the harmful rays of
the sunlight.
